The PHP development team would like to announce the immediate availability of PHP 5.2.11. This release focuses on improving the stability of the PHP 5.2.x branch with over 75 bug fixes, some of which are security related. All users of PHP 5.2 are encouraged to upgrade to this release.

With Oracle taking over Sun micros systems, most of the users are sceptic about the future of the Openoffice suite given the not so well track record of Oracle corporation in the open source field. As the users, the developers are sceptic too. This is what we understand by the latest developments. Some of the developers from Openoffice team break away from the team and founded libre office. Execpt the name, they say all others remain the same.

PHP's next edition, V6, includes new features and syntax improvements that will make it easier to use from an object-oriented standpoint. Other important features, such as Unicode support in many of the core functions, mean that PHP V6 is positioned for better international support and robustness.

PHP 5.3 coming soon by the end of this JUNE

After the successor PHP 5.2 the new PHP version well get out by the end of this month. This version PHP 5.3 is most awaited version of PHP programmers, with more feature and futre proof.And the new version will be out by JUNE 30th.And this release is a major release since release of PHP 5.2 (2006).

While the official release is on June 30th, support for PHP 5.3 is already present in development tools from Eclipse released this week.PHP 6 is just around the corner, many of the features originally planned for PHP 6 have been back-ported to PHP 5.3.
