The CentOS development team announced the release of CentOS 4.8 for i386 and x86_64.

It is available on all CentOS.org mirrors and via bittorrent, see this link to download ISOs:

This release corresponds to the upstream vendor U8 release. Also released in the updates repository for CentOS-4.8 are all updates
through August 20th, 2009.

Work for the i386 and x86_64 ServerCDs and for the ia64, s390 and s390x architectures is in progress.

If you are currently using an older CentOS-4 version, using this command will upgrade you to CentOS-4.8:

yum upgrade
