Adobe Integrated Runtime (AIR) is a cross-platform runtime environment for building rich Internet applications using Adobe Flash, Adobe Flex, HTML, or Ajax, that can be deployed as a desktop application. Adobe AIR contains lots of popular applications. After installing Adobe AIR we can install applications easily.

First  download AIR from Adobe site.  http://get.adobe.com/air/

The name of the downloaded file is AdobeAIRInstaller.bin

Open the terminal and go to the downloaded location( My location is setup folder[see the screeshot])

Type su in the terminal to get root permission.

Then change the permission of file using the command chmod 777  AdobeAIRInstaller.bin [see the screenshot]

Now run the command ./AdobeAIRInstaller.bin to execute the file

The normal installer will open, install it.
